the origin of lagom

"what does lagom mean?" "is it lagomi?"

the most common thing we get asked when it comes to the brand. it's never a long answer, but with no direct translation from swedish to english,  it's not exactly one word either. and the palm tree is not an "i" ... it's our trademark symbol

it's main purpose is to describe a feeling, a vibe in other words. it describes a sense of coziness. the perfect temperature on a day. a wood burning stove in a cabin. the way a home feels. there's an emphasis on sustainability and balance, living in moderation.

perfection is never the goal. always leave room for imperfections. keeps it unique. one of a kind.

garrapata beach: office of the year

this was the second out-of-state solo trip driggs and i took. drew in the art journal, started a new book and listened to music for a few hours while driggs dug his holes in the sand, played with dried seaweed and watched the rough waves from a distance.

this trip also included dinner at taco bell in pacifica, an evening stop at pier 39 for a drink with the sea lions, a beach day in carmel-by-the-sea, and a wine-tasting at saintsbury winery. we camped in big sur on night 1.

the year is never complete without the biannual trip to the tetons

once with the family over the long weekend in may, and once in the fall for my brother's birthday. every year. at least once.

spent a full 8-9 hours on this as a custom. client said he was confused. wanted me to paint on multiple of his own? tried to sell many times. kept it for myself. trashed it later when I was done with it.

influencer custom

saw her and her dog on tik tok. sent her a finished photo. she loved it, paid me anyway. one of my favorites.
